‘Risk is not just a physical related issue’
It is likely that social and behavioral science research has lower risks than clinical trials. In fact, mental, social, economic, as well as, personal rights violation risks are very sensitive issues, which are top priorities for researchers.
This workshop aims for:
- Mindset: Equipping the researchers with the human dignity based mindset.
- Risk management: Being able to assess and design appropriate risk management measures for research participants.
- Application: Being able to connect ethical principles with research context
A real platform for idea exchange
Various target groups (e.g. Lecturers, doctors, registered nurses, and administrative personnel) were interested in this intensive workshop. All attendees represent an important component of the faculty’s research endeavors.
The highlight of the event is experience sharing and presenting complex ethical issue related case studies, which conceptualize the overview of the issues and solutions aligned with international standards.
This activity was not only enhancing the academic skill, but also create a strong network among researchers, in order to conduct high-quality researcher work aligning with ethics, contributing to the long-term advancement of the academic community and society.
